Presentation

Presents with decreased appetite and hypercalcemia.

Gender: Spayed female

Thorax

x-ray

The cardiovascular structures are normal in size and shape. No abnormalities are seen within the pulmonary parenchyma. The mediastinum is widened on the v/d projection, and is wider than the vertebral column. On the lateral projection, there is a mass visible in the cranial mediastinum with mild dorsal displacement of the trachea. The pleural space and musculoskeletal structures are normal.

Case Discussion

Mediastinal T-cell lymphoma was diagnosed from fine needle aspirates of the mass.

  • Lymphoma
  • Thymoma
  • Cyst
  • Ectopic thyroid tissue
