Presentation

Presents with intermittent thoracic limb lameness for two and a half months.

Age: 9 m
Gender: Spayed female
Category: Domestic dog
Organism: Labrador retriever

Shoulders

x-ray

There is flattening of the caudal humeral head with subchondral sclerosis on both the left and right thoracic limbs. The elbows are congruent without evidence of degenerative change.

Osteochondritis dissecans.

Case Discussion

Bilateral shoulder osteochondritis dissecans. Cartilage flaps were removed from both humeral heads via arthroscopy.
