Presentation
Presents with orbital mass that was removed one year previously and has regrown.
Patient Data
A large mineralized mass with stippled texture is visible arising from and resulting in periosteal reaction and irregularity of the frontal bone. This mass appears to extend into the frontal sinuses. The integrity of the calvarium is difficult to assess.
Multilobular tumor of bone.
On reconstructed 3D images of the skull, the mass extends across midline and engulfs the left orbit.
Case Discussion
Multilobular tumor of bone has a characteristic stippled texture on radiographs and CT. It most often arises from the bones of the skull and tends to be locally invasive. The diagnosis was confirmed with surgical resection.
