The liver and spleen are normal in size. The stomach, small intestine, and colon are empty and normal in diameter. The cecum is gas filled. The urinary tract appears normal. The peritoneal detail is good.
Gastroenteritis.
Case Discussion
The empty gastrointestinal tract is consistent with gastroenteritis. Pancreatitis is also possible and could be evaluated with abdominal ultrasound.
