Thoracic limb

x-ray

There is severe incongruity of the elbow with marked widened humeroradial joint. This is exacerbated on the flexed lateral projection. The medial coronoid process of the ulna is radiolucent and irregular, and there is anconeal process sclerosis. Osteophytes are visible on the cranial and medial aspects of the radius and humeral condyle, and the anconeal process.

Impression: Elbow dysplasia with severe incongruity and secondary fragmented medial coronoid process and osteoarthrosis.

Case Discussion

Radiographs of the left elbow revealed milder abnormalities. CT examination confirmed bilateral fragmented medial coronoid process and arthroscopy was performed to remove the fragments. Ulnar osteotomy of the right ulna was performed to address the elbow incongruity.
