Case Discussion

Pericardial effusion with right-sided heart failure causing pleural and peritoneal effusion.

The dog's infection with Coccidiodes affected the heart and pericardium, causing pericardial effusion. The increased pressure caused right-sided heart failure and pleural and peritoneal effusion. A pericardectomy was performed to relieve the pressure.
